Right, listen up. Eyes front. I don't have time to draw you a diagram, and I certainly don't have the crayons. Do you even know what a crayon is?
I have spent the last three hundred and thirty six hours listening to people argue about the structural integrity of a traybake. This entire debate is a confectionary omnishambles. I don't care anymore.
You want to exercise your democratic right? Whatever. Vote against the raisins. Vote for the raisins. But if you treat this nonsense like it's the most important thing on the planet, I will personally come down to the Royal High just to confiscate your lunch money. I mean it.
Are you paying attention? The clock is ticking down to the big one. The Scottish Parliament election in May of 2026.
This is about who runs the country. And it's far more important than the damn raisins. Health. Education. Transport. These are just some of the things at stake.
Look. Just remember this briefing. Memorise it.
Cast your silly little vote on these traybakes. But you have to vote next year.
- Talcolm Mucker (slightly sanitised)
Over 130 people have voted so far. As no new votes have been placed in the past day or two, it's a good time to see what the final results might look like. This projection could be off by a few percentage points.
Our prediction in text form is:
Our final results will be released here on the 2nd of December. It'll contain our analysis of the results and the full polling data.
On the 19th of November, an extra option for no raisins at all was added following strong protests from the Reduce/Raisins Out grouping about Keep and Increase being grouped together. This change was made upon direct request by Amy McLaren, who is the campaign coordinator for Raisins Out, because the grouping threatened to treat the results as illegitimate.
We believe this is a fair and reasonable adjustment to make as it does not harm any side, and also because we do not want a revolution to take place over this matter.
It will be treated almost exactly like a Reduce vote and counted as a part of the Reduce/Raisins Out grouping (exactly how we are treating Keep/Increase), so don't worry, you won't be wasting it if you switch.
The only difference is that you can voice the specific opinion that you want raisins gone entirely, as opposed to just reducing them.
