The Raisin Referendum is an official Chambers Café vote to determine public opinion on the issue of raisins in our traybakes. The options are as follows: no raisins at all, reduce the amount of raisins, keep the same amount of raisins, and increase the amount of raisins.

18 days and 137 votes later, we can finally present the results.
Keep/Increase has won the referendum with 53.3% of the vote!
That's a lead of 9 votes.
The final results today are a little closer than expected thanks to a last-minute increase in Raisins Out voters, following our initial projection. Alas, this increase was not enough to secure the handful of extra votes necessary to cross the 50% mark.
It's apparent that there's a strong base of voters for both Keep/Increase and Raisins Out. School staff and teachers are more likely to vote for Keep/Increase compared to S6 pupils.
The introduction of the "no raisins at all" option early in the campaign led to a lot of people switching their votes. Only a few "no raisins at all" voters appear to have voted late enough for it to be their first selection.
This result will be passed onto Chambers Café management and the decision ultimately lies with them.
The current arrangement is that the people baking choose whether or not to include raisins, according to their personal preferences. It's likely that this arrangement will continue.
Café bakers can now rest assured that whatever they choose; raisins or no raisins; they'll upset roughly the same amount of people.
With these results released, the raisin debate has finally been put to bed, and everyone can move on. They probably won't, though.

We ask readers to please share this website with anyone who is eligible to vote. We are approaching 10 days until polling closes, and while a lot of votes have been cast, there's definitely more people who could vote but haven't.
As this referendum is EXTREMELY SERIOUS and NOT A JOKE and NOT FUNNY we hope you understand the importance of voting.
On the 19th of November, an extra option for no raisins at all was added following strong protests from the Reduce/Raisins Out grouping about Keep and Increase being grouped together. This change was made upon direct request by Amy McLaren, who is the campaign coordinator for Raisins Out, because the grouping threatened to treat the results as illegitimate.
We believe this is a fair and reasonable adjustment to make as it does not harm any side, and also because we do not want a revolution to take place over this matter.
It will be treated almost exactly like a Reduce vote and counted as a part of the Reduce/Raisins Out grouping (exactly how we are treating Keep/Increase), so don't worry, you won't be wasting it if you switch.
The only difference is that you can voice the specific opinion that you want raisins gone entirely, as opposed to just reducing them.
You will no longer be able to switch your vote after the 1st of December, when general voting ends. Please note that your CAFÉ, your VOICE cannot modify your vote on your behalf.
